I am an extremely passionate developer with a love for what I do. I enjoy so many aspects of development, that it’s hard for me to choose an area of focus. This means that I do a lot of things well, but I’m not an expert in most of them. I’m okay with that though, because it means my job is interesting. It also means I get to have a decent understanding of a product as a whole, which allows me to think deeply about an application’s true value to the end user. This gives me insight into how to translate business needs and requirements, into a product that helps the end-user, the business, and everyone in between to enjoy life a bit more fully.
I specialize in providing full-featured solutions, from front-end development to deployment pipelines and databases. I like to have my hands in many things, because it helps me see the overall picture of the project, and to help shape decisions and foresee bottle-necks.
Aside from web-dev stuff, I’m a family man. I love my wife, and my two amazing kids. One of the reasons I was so attracted to development and software engineering was because of the freedom it offers. Being able to work all sorts of hours and days, means that I have a flexible schedule for the other important things in life. Sure, there are down-sides to that sometimes, but in general, it allows me to really enjoy the best parts of life, with my family.
